Language

Inscribed on the plots of Waraburra Nura are words from some of the languages spoken in Wa’ran, including Darug and Gadigal.

Written by artist Nicole Monks with the support of the Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council, they give insight into some of the plants’ traditional uses and the animals that thrive around them, and encourage visitors to gain greater knowledge of  the natural environment, its elements and the Country the garden stands on, Gadi Nura.
